Midfielder Wilfred Osuji has said that he was shocked that Padova are no longer in existence, after they were declared bankrupt.
And the former AC Milan youth - teamer is sorry for the employees of the club and the fans, who have followed the team for more than 100 years.
“I learnt through the internet. We did not hear from the management, nobody knows anything, we are speechless, we were left alone.
“During these days we have not received any phone call, we thought that everything could be resolved.Padova has a nice story that has lasted more than 100 years, it is not good news.
“At this time I am getting so many messages from fans who are sick, and it is the first time that such a thing happens. I do not know how to react and what to say,” the 23 - year - old told Tuttomercatoweb.com.
Wilfred Osuji dressed 45 times for Padova in the Serie B, scoring once for them in the 2011 - 2012 campaign.
