Ex Nigeria Manager, Phillipe Troussier : Nigeria Do Not Know How To Defend
Published: June 27, 2014Former Nigeria manager, Phillipe Troussier, has written off the Super Eagles ahead of Monday’s clash with his country of birth in the second round of the World Cup.
Despite qualifying Nigeria for the 1998 World Cup held in his homeland, the Nigeria Federation fired him before the start of the tournament.
“Something is at stake, a place in the quarterfinals, so it is in the configuration of 2002 against Senegal
“On paper, the team of France is stronger, Nigeria is therefore the outsider. Regarding the match, everything is possible.
“Nigeria is athletic, can not defend in the European sense. Rather, it is a team that will try to score one more goal than the opponent. They do not know how to defend, ” Phillipe Troussier told Radio Monte Carlo .
Now 59 years, Troussier previously handled Burkina Faso, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Japan and Qatar national teams.
