Stephen Keshi Not Pleased With Critics
Published: June 23, 2014Nigeria manager Stephen Keshi has voiced his displeasure with some remarks made by former Nigeria internationals regarding the Super Eagles performance in their first game with Iran.
The African champions got their World Cup campaign back on track following the 1 - 0 win over Bosnia on Saturday, thanks to a goal from Stoke City attacker Peter Odemwingie.
“The annoying thing is that they get criticised unnecessarily back home.
“When that comes from the man on the street you can understand but when people who should know like ex-footballers criticise the team, I don’t enjoy it at all.
“But the players have showed that they are good enough for the World Cup but they are yet to play to full potential,” Stephen Keshi told reporters.
Nigeria have 4 points in the kitty from their first two games at the World Cup, and will next face Argentina.
