Valere Houandinou : The Next Two Group Matches Will Be Very Difficult
Published: June 18, 2014Stephen Keshi’s assistant, Valere Houandinou, has pointed out that Nigeria must defeat Bosnia on Saturday to get their World Cup campaign back on track, following the shock goalless draw with Iran on Monday.
The Super Eagles credential will be tested in their next two matches against Bosnia and Argentina, and the Togolese went straight to the point, saying the players must put forth 100 percent effort if they are to scale both hurdles and qualify for the knock out rounds.
“ It was too bad we could not beat Iran. We returned very upset.”
“The next two group matches will be very difficult. We have to win against Bosnia anyway. It is the game of our lives to qualify. We will focus much in this match,” he told globoesporte.globo.com.
Valere Houandinou confirmed that Rizespor central defender Godfrey Oboabona has a foot complaint, which makes his availability for the tie against Bosnia questionable.
