Sylvester Igboun Hails Brondby Performance Against FCM
Published: May 09, 2014Sylvester Igboun netted his 10th goal of the season on Thursday, but he is disappointed that FCM failed to get an point from the encounter at Brondby Stadium.
The 3 - 1 defeat left the Jutland based side 3 points behind Aalborg in the sprint for the Superliga title, with only two rounds left before the end of the season.
“It was a bad day for us, we did no well enough. The first 30 minutes we were poorly organized and did not push as a team, but individually. That is football and we have to make sure to learn from it,” Igboun said to bold.dk.
And he has praised Brondby for the quality the displayed against FCM, stressing that the opponents played their best game this term.
“We came to win, but we must also give credit to Brondby. They played their best game of the season in my opinion. Everything succeeded, and when you score as early as they did, the opponents have to improve and it is hard.”
FCM would surrender the title if they fail to win at home to FC Copenhagen this coming Sunday and AaB get a result against Vestsjælland.
