Brown Ideye Approves Firing Of Oleg Blokhin
Published: April 20, 2014
Dynamo Kiev striker Brown Ideye has insisted that the club did the right thing by firing Oleg Blokhin after a dismal run of results culminating in the 2 - 0 home loss to Shakhtar Donetsk this past Wednesday.
The fact is the Nigeria international saw his first team opportunities limited this season, with Blokhin starting him in only 4 games which is his worst statistic in the past 6 years.
“What is good for the club is good for me. Decision was taken by the President. I am a professional player, if such a situation occurred in the club - I have to adapt to it,” Brown Ideye told tribuna.com.
Under ex gaffer Blokhin, the Kievites played with only one forward and this contributed to the lack of game time of the Nigerian.
“ Only the coaches will decide who will go on the field, as well as all questions related to tactics.
“As for the formation, many people think that it is better for Dynamo to play with two forwards, but you need to direct this question to Rebrov.
“I think the results were bad. Coach was responsible for every bad result, so we are in this situation,” he added.
