Lukman Haruna Eyes Win Against Metalist
Published: April 05, 2014
Lukman Haruna reckons that Dynamo Kiev will mount a late challenge for the Ukrainian Premier League title should they defeat Metalist on Sunday.
The team’s title aspirations came under scrutiny following the 2 - 0 loss to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk last weekend.
“We are looking forward for win, especially after defeat against Dnipro. I think we must work hard and draw conclusions from our mistakes. I believe we can earn three points in Kyiv after failure in Dnipropetrovsk,” the Nigeria international told the official website, fcdynamo.kiev.ua.
Since the start of the second stanza of the championship, the former Golden Eaglets sensation has fallen down the pecking order of midfielders, with only 23 minutes under his belt from a possible 270.
“I’m not a player who talks a lot. My deeds must speak for me. All I can do is work at every training session.
“I’ll never ask the head coach if he’s unsatisfied with something about my play. Only he can decide who takes the field in this or that match. I respect his choice.
“Of course I don’t like staying on the bench, but I’ll definitely have my chance,” Haruna concluded.
