Lucky Izunna Uzochukwu Escapes Red Card In Denmark
Published: March 11, 2014Referee Jens Maae has confessed that he made crucial errors in the match between FC Midtjylland and SonderjyskE on Monday.
The 32 - year - old official ought to have sent off Nigerian midfielder Izunna Uzochukwu after an earlier booking in the fifth minute.
“As I see it, I have no doubt that Izunna Uzochukwu should have had warning number two and thus be expelled.
“On the TV footage it is clear that the upper arm is in an unnatural position and that it is clearly a penalty, ” says Maae to Danish newspaper, Ekstra Bladet.
Tactically, manager Glen Riddersholm substituted Izunna Uzochukwu just before the start of the second half.
Olufemi Ajilore and Sylvester Igboun were also in action in the 2 - 0 defeat of SonderjyskE.
