It Is A New Dawn For Oyo Sports - Ajimobi Aide
Published: December 01, 2013The new helmsmen at the sport in Oyo State have reiterated the determination of the Senator Abiola Ajimobi led’ administration in the state in moving sports to very enviable position by prioritizing grassroots development as major area of focus.
Revealing this was the new Commissioner for Youths and Sports Mr. Umar Farouk Alao and the Special Adviser to Governor on Youths and Sport, Engr. Taiwo Fawole while making their first official appearance since being appointed into office yesterday at the final of Oyo State Banker Invitational Soccer Tourney played at Lekan Salami Sports Complex Ibadan.
The Commissioner who pleaded with newsmen to wait until the Ministry for Youths and Sports made his official media presentation this week still said what they were our to do is to carry out the task the Governor has for sports in Oyo State, and that is total attention to every sections in the vocation.
He however called for cooperation of all and sundry while pledging a listening hears to every useful advises tabled before him.
Fawole in the same vein said the vow of the determination of the governor to turn things around in Oyo State circle seemed to be evident in his appointment, which he added to better complement the good work the state had already started in the sector since the administration came into office in 2011.
“The resolve of the Governor is to develop youths in the state through basic means of human development which sports plays a major role. And we are not going to leave any stone unturned when we fully swing into action”, Fawole noted.
It would be recalled that the state now has two people working for the government apart from the commissioner for Youths and Sport, and they are Taiwo Fawole who was just appointed as Special Adviser to Governor and Godwin Obode who was Special Assistant to Governor also on Youths and Sports.
