Brown Ideye Behind Idahor, Aghahowa In Ukrainian Premier League Stats
Published: September 24, 2013Brown Ideye finally broke his goal drought in the current Ukrainian Premier League season after netting in Dynamo Kiev’s 1- 0 victory over Karpaty last weekend.
Ideye is now the fourth Nigerian striker to reach the milestone of 30 goals in the top division.
According to dynamomania.com, Lucky Idahor has netted 53 goals in the Premier League, representing Dynamo Kiev, Vorskla Poltava, Tavriya and Zorya.
In second position is Emmanuel Okoduwa, who scored 37 goals, 3 for Vorskla, 32 for Arsenal Kiev and 2 while defending the colors of Metallurg Donetsk.
Julius Aghahowa, whom you can rightly call a former Nigeria international, notched up 35 Ukrainian Premier League goals. 97 percent of the goals (34) came during his spell with Shakhtar Donetsk.
Michael Chidi (12 goals) and Dynamo Kiev’s Yussuf Ayila(10 ) were also mentioned in the report.
