Nosa Igiebor To Start Against Real Madrid
Published: August 16, 2013
According to the online edition of regional sports daily Estadiodeportivo, believed to be close to the corridors of power at Real Betis, Nigeria international Nosa Igiebor will start Sunday's game against Europe powerhouse Real Madrid on Sunday.
Betis gaffer Pepe Mel has a well defined starting eleven for the trip to the Santiago Bernabeu.
He will not tinker with the squad that started the game against Everton, and that means there is a place for Nosa Igiebor in midfield.
Real Betis have not won at the Santiago Bernabeu since October, 1998.
About 15 years ago, specifically October 4, 1998, the team trained by Vicente Cantatore took maximum points, thanks to George Finidi's solitary strike.
In 48 visits to Madrid, they have won 5 ,drew 7 and lost 36 matches.
