Obisesan Vows Oyo's Commitment To Save 3SC, Assures On Sports Development

A strong member of Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s cabinet who also doubles as Commissioner for Environment and Habitat, Bar. Lowo Obisesan has reiterated the administration’s commitment to do everything within its capacity to save the sinking state club, 3SC from going down.
The popular legal practitioner turned politician who disclosed this while speaking at the final of grassroots soccer tourney he bankrolled to commemorate recently concluded Ramadan fast allayed the relegation apprehension that gripe the minds of teeming followers of the traditional club.
Obisesan, in company of another 3SC strong backer, Toaheed Adeleke, Caretaker Chairman, Ibadan South/West Local Government and Special Assistant to Oyo Governor on Youths and Sports, Godwin Obode at the main-bowl of Lekan Salami Sports Complex Ibadan over the weekend said the present administration in the state under Senator Abiola Ajimobi would not allow the club to slide down from the elite cadre in the Nigeria Premier League.
He however seek the cooperation of every stakeholders in the state in assisting government in reviving the dwindling fortune of the club that first won a continental laurel for Nigeria at the clubside level, saying “the team is a movement and legacy of all Yoruba people, hence, Ajimobi’s administration would not fold arms seeing it destroyed”.
While explaining why he veered into sport, Obisesan said his desire and belief is for things to change favorably to youths in the country while they should be given a thing that will encourage and make them feels that they belong to a caring society.
“By virtue of my nature I belief things should change in the country and youths should be given a thing that will encourage and make them feel that they belong to this society, all these opportunities are what civilized nations are giving to their youths.
“They would not do anything that will make them a menace to the society and there is no way they would not be happy especially during Ramadan period that many of them who don’t have job would not have thing to be doing, and by the time they are idle, that is when they would do something demonic in nature”, Obisesan noted.
