Under 17 : Coach Manu Garba Seizes Players' Mobile Phones
Published: July 30, 2013Manu Garba, coach of Nigeria Under 17 team, has seized the mobile phones of the players that are training in Calabar ahead of the tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
To ensure maximum attention , the players in camp, about 30 of them, are now to be given their phones only on Sundays.
The Golden Eaglets were involved in a training match on Tuesday as the African Under-17 Championship team drew 1 - 1 with the newly invited players that passed the screening exercise held in Abuja.
Meanwhile, El Cruzero attacker Michael Auta is frantically waiting to hear from the National Team selectors, a source close to the player has told allnigeriasoccer.com.
'' I can tell you that Michael Auta is not coming to camp at least for now.
'' It is true that he was selected after the screening exercise and even did the MRI scan.
'' The handlers told him they will send him a text message informing him when to report to Calabar, but he has not yet heard from them,'' said the source.
