3SC, 29 Others For Olubadan second Round

After 15 days of high-prolific soccer action, Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC team ‘B’, FRIN, CRIN, Akintayo FC, Wasiu Taiwo FC,
Pacesetter FC and 24 others have cruised into the second round of Olubadan Cup 2013.
60 top clubsides from across the 11 local governments in Ibadan metropolis are taking part in the championship which had entered its
45th edition.
30 of those clubsides have been shown the exit from the ‘Royal Rumble’ which is being played on knockout basis in an event hugely supported financially by Oyo State Government this year.
Other clubs that made it to the second round of the highly exciting grassroots soccer competition in Southwest Nigeria include Pepsi
Academy, Brighton, Custom FC, SWANLUX, Teenage, Mocdim/ Oke-Ado FC, Immigrations, Rashidi Ladoja FC, YK Abass, Liverpool FC, Zartech,Christo Babes, and babajide Brown FC.
Others are Abbey Lincoln, New System, FC Challenge, Unibadan FC, FRENAGE Soccer Academy, Lazeng of Premier, Onward FC, ZAAR and Rovers FC among others.
A statement signed by Chairman Ibadan Football Association (IFA) Banji Akintayo stated further that 11 out of the 30 first round encounters were decided via penalty shoot-out.
While two-time Olubadan Cup winner, 3SC team B otherwise known as 3Sc Starlet and Aare Babalola Champions League 2013 runners-up Wasiu Taiwo and Champion, Immigrations qualified through breath-taking penalty shoot-out as the likes of YK Abass, FC Challenge, CRIN and Pacesetter FC won convincingly in all their respective first round matches.
