FC Groningen Snap Up William Ekong
Published: July 23, 2013According to Voetbal International, FC Groningen have snapped up Nigerian center back William Ekong.
The financial terms and duration of the 19 - year - old's contract with the Eredivisie campaigners were not disclosed by the Dutch football magazine.
William Ekong, who has played for Holland's Under 19 squad, last represented Tottenham Hotspur.
This summer, the promising defender trained with DC United but was not offered a contract when tests were concluded.
Until last month, Nigeria international Femi Ajilore was on the payroll of the Pride of the North.
