Samuel Monday Ayinoko Targeting Promotion With Angelholm
Published: March 20, 2013With less than three weeks remaining before the start of the Superettan, midfielder Samuel Monday Ayinoko is targeting promotion with his club Angelholm, who play in Sweden's second - tier.
Despite joining Angelholm four months after the beginning of the championship, the 19 - year - old quickly established himself in the first - team squad, representing the team 9 times in the 2012 campaign.
''Pre- season has been so intense, but we are almost through with it now. My target is high this coming season.
''With the tough training we have had already, I think we are set to be promoted to the next level(Allsvenskan). We can achieve this with God,hard-work and our determination,''says Ayinoko to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Samuel Ayinoko's performance last season has endeared him to the supporters of Angelholm. He has admitted that the fans are yet to see his best.
''I would say I am the only African here. There are two other players from Ghana and Morocco but they were born in Europe, so I will call them Europeans not Africans.
''I have being greatly appreciated here by the supporters and the technical staff. I am happy the club gave me the opportunity to play and my best is yet to come,'' adds the former Benfica youth - teamer.
Samuel Monday Ayinoko, who was discovered by Real Madrid gaffer Jose Mourinho, is under contract with Angelholm until the end of the 2014 season.
