Sam Obuh Names Final Squad For AYC
Published: March 06, 2013Coach Sam Obuh has named his final 21 - man roster for the African Youth Championship billed to be staged in Algeria from March 16 - 30.
Three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and five attackers have been selected to defend the cup the Flying Eagles won in South Africa two years ago.
Nigeria are in Group B of the tournament alongside Mali, Gabon and Democratic Republic of Congo. Their first game will be against Mali on March 17.
The Flying Eagles have played in 8 previous editions of the tournament, winning the title in 2005 and 2011.
