Former Lillestrom Star, Edwin Eziyodawe To Test With Bnei Sakhin
Published: December 28, 2012Allnigeriasoccer.com can confirm a report by Israeli website Sports Walla that former Lillestrom striker Edwin Eziyodawe is scheduled to test with Premier League club Bnei Sakhin in the coming days.
Coach Shlomi Dora wants to strengthen his squad with an offensive reinforcement in the January transfer window.
Edwin Eziyodawe, 24, is now a free agent after his contract was not renewed on expiration by Norwegians LSK. For close to a year, he had been searching for a new team.
''I will travel to Lagos this weekend to pick up my visa Hopefully, next week I will be in Israel to start training with Bnei Sakhin. I am not new to trials. I tested with Lillestrom and was successful, so I have the belief I will be offered a contract at the end of trials,'' Eziyodawe, who has been keeping fit training on his own, told allnigeriasoccer.com in a telephone conversation.
The one time Bendel Insurance ace is widely regarded as the biggest ever Nigerian signing made by Lillestrom. He also played for Sharks in the Nigeria Premier League.
