UCHE NWOFOR Fit To Face Vitesse
Published: December 08, 2012Top scorer at the last African Youth Championship Uche Nwofor had been struggling with an ankle complaint for the past two weeks. Thus, the attacker was not selected by coach Ton Lokhoff in last weekend's 1 - 1 draw with PEC Zwolle.
Nwofor has declared himself fit for Sunday's encounter against Vitesse, a game which corresponds to the 16th round of matches in the Dutch championship.
He told allnigeriasoccer.com: ''I don't know for now if I would be playing against Vitesse. It is the coach that decides who plays. If I don't play, I will wait for my time as I am just recovering. But I am in high spirits and ready to play if I am selected.''
21 - year - old Uche Nwofor has recorded 3 goals in 12 games in the Eredivisie.
