RABIU IBRAHIM Could Play Against Arbroath
Published: November 30, 2012Nigeria youth international Rabiu Ibrahim could play his first match of the season on Saturday when Glasgow Celtic entertain Arbroath in the Scottish Cup, a source close to the club has specially informed this portal.
Rabiu, an old fashioned play-maker, made his only appearance for the Glasgow giants against St Johnstone about seven months ago.
Matt Mcglone, Editor of the Celtic magazine 'Alternative View' told allnigeriasoccer.com: ''The information I have is that he is playing, but you never know what could happen at the last minute and I don't pick the team. I think he will play. Rabiu has been unable to break into the first team despite his potential because he is taking time to adapt to the physical demands of Scottish football.''
Mcglone also commented on the progress of the Nigeria international Efe Ambrose, a summer arrival from Israeli club Ashdod.
''Fantastic player bought for £850,000, one of our best players and the Celtic fans absolutely love him, he's strong and positionally excellent,'' he said.
Manager Neil Lennon could rest some key players on Saturday, with an eye on Wednesday's Champions League tie against Spartak Moscow. Thus, Ibrahim is likely to get the gaffer's nod against Arbroath.
Celtic will qualify for the knock out rounds of the Champions League if they beat Spartak Moscow and Barcelona defeat Benfica at Nou Camp.
