Exclusive: EDDIE OFERE To Evaluate Options In January
Published: October 22, 2012Free agent Edward Ofere has hinted to allnigeriasoccer.com that his future is far from Swedish club Malmo.
Following Lecce's relegation to Italy's third tier at the end of last season as a result of the betting scandal, the Italian club could not match his wages and released him from his contract which was due to expire in June 2013.
''I am now in Sweden. I can't say I am joining Malmo now, the Swedish championship is almost over. I'll some day play for Malmo, maybe not now,'' Ofere said.
He went further: ''I am waiting until January to know my options. Then I can be sure and know where I am going to play.''
Ofere had been linked with Brescia, Vicenza and some unnamed foreign clubs in the summer transfer market.
