PAPA IDRIS Talks His Way Out Of HNK Rijeka Move
Croatian club HNK Rijeka has been expecting Super Eagles defender Papa Idris since June 20 but the player has told allnigeriasoccer.com that they will wait in vain because he has no intention of joining them.

Idris has been consistent in Eagles' squads since Stephen Keshi took over the helm of affairs and after featuring in the 2-3 friendly loss against Egypt, he is seen as one of the home based members of the Nigerian team with a bright prospect in European football.

However, he is turning down one opportunity to move to the continent.

"I am not going to Croatia," the 22 year-old opened up to allnigeriasoccer.com.

"And one of the reasons is because I do not understand the arrangement that the club has made.

"I would say the agents working on the deal are not telling me the whole truth and I'm not all that in a rush to move to Europe."

Rijeka's sporting director Srecko Juricic had told the club's website that Idris was one of the remaining players to complete their player plans for the forthcoming season and that arrangements for the player to get a visa to join the rest of the squad that had already begun pre season were in an advance stage.

But former Kaduna United defender Idris has rejoined his team Kano Pillars after being held up in Zaria in the aftermath of the recent crisis in nearby Kaduna.

From allnigeriasoccer.com findings, the financial terms of the proposed contract Rijeka are offering Idris also played a major part in the left footer's decision to jettison the move to Croatia as he described it as ''paltry''.
