FRANK NNAM Leaves Peruvian Club, Owed Wages
Published: June 27, 2012
Hijos de Acosvinchos, the Peruvian club of Frank Nnam have financial irregularities, and have been suspended from the league after failing to pay debts owed to the league association.
Consequently, six points have been deducted from their points haul in the Segunda División. Now, Hijos de Acosvinchos are last on the log. Last month, the female coach Bolivian Nelfi Ibanez Guerra was fired by the club's board. Guerra is the first woman to handle a men's team in Peru.
''Hijos de Acosvinchos had problems with their finances. The President and the Board squandered all the funds, which left a big hole in their budget. Players were affected by the mismanagement, even the lady coach. All the foreigners have left the club, including me, without paying us our wages,'' Nnam told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Nnam, an attacking midfielder, says he is studying offers from some Primera División clubs in Peru and teams in Europe.
