JOSEPH YOBO Wants To Remain With Fenerbahce
Published: June 25, 2012Nigeria skipper Joseph Yobo is keen to remain with Fenerbahce. The Turkish vice-champions are negotiating with Everton to acquire the 31-year-old defender on a permanent basis.
Yobo is in constant touch with the management of the Yellow Canaries. He has expressed his desire to remain in Turkey, and also wishes to play in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League before he calls time on an illustrious career for both club and country.
Fenerbahce have upped their bid for Yobo to 2 million euros, which is below Everton's valuation of the player. An agreement could be reached by both parties as early as this week if the Turkish club increase their bid by 500,000 euros.
According to the Daily Mail, Norwich City are the latest club linked with central defender. There is also interest from Championship side Leicester City.
