SAM SODJE Off To Angola In Honor Of LOMANA LUALUA
Published: June 14, 2012The Sodje football dynasty- Efe, Sam and Akpo Sodje - is traveling to the Angola capital, Luanda on Friday. The brothers have been invited for a charity match in honor of former Newcastle United forward and DRC international Lomana LuaLua.
Speaking in a telephone conversation with allnigeriasoccer.com, Super Eagles player Sam Sodje says he is delighted to be part of the event.
He said: ''My traveling documents are being processed by the organizers of the event. My brothers and I will travel to Angola on Friday.
''The match organized by the LuaLua Foundation is on Saturday. I am particularly keen to attend this game. I have known Lualua since his days at Newcastle United. He is a model professional, a role model to so many young footballers.''
Sam Sodje is now a free agent after his contract expired at Notts County in May. Said to be attracting interest from clubs in England and overseas, the 33-year-old defender is weighting options available to him.
