Exclusive: SOLOMON OWELLO Confirms Silkeborg Interest
Published: June 13, 2012
Former Nigeria youth-teamer and IK Start midfielder Solomon Owello has exclusively informed allnigeriasoccer.com that he could be leaving his Norwegian club before his contract expires in December.
The 23-year-old is in his fifth season at Kristiansand, and has played over 90 games (four goals) for the division one club.
''I am still at IK Start even though we were relegated at the end of last season. I remained because I want to help them return to the Tippeligaen. We are on course for promotion, presently we are placed second in the championship.
''My contract with IK Start runs out in December. I have not started talks on a new deal because I am thinking of leaving. Other clubs have expressed interest in me. I am thinking of moving abroad,'' Owello told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Danish club Silkeborg are targeting Owello as reinforcement in midfield in the summer transfer market.
''Yes, I can confirm to you that Silkeborg have started negotiations with my agent. If everything goes according to plan, I would be leaving IK Start for the Danish Superliga this summer,'' says Owello.
