NFF Urges Nigerians To Support Eagles
President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Aminu Maigari, yesterday urged Nigerians to support Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi and his players ahead of the remaining two competitive matches this month.

Maigari, who gave this task in Abuja, said the national team was in the re-building process and its performance had proved satisfactory.

After seven months in charge, Keshi has played eight games, drawn three and lost two, even as he has two more before the end of June.

“It is interesting that the Eagles now play with purpose and vision and surely could still do better,” the NFF boss observed, adding, “The federation will continue to offer necessary support in view of the set target and overall ambition of the team.”

The Super Eagles will depart Abuja later today in a charter flight to Blantyre where they will face the Flames of Malawi in a World Cup 2014 qualifier on Saturday.

The Nigerians currently top the Group F after beat-ing Namibia 1-0 in the group’s opening game last Sunday and Kenya was held to a scoreless draw at home by Malawi.
