Ndidi's Leicester suffer big loss at Brentford as hat-trick hero Schade emulates Germany legend Klinsmann

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi endured a challenging match as Brentford secured a resounding 4-1 victory at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The defeat adds pressure on Leicester, who are battling relegation, as they await the arrival  of new manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The game began with an unexpected twist when Leicester City took the lead in the 21st minute.

Jordan Ayew orchestrated a brilliant play, slipping a pass to Jamie Vardy, who drew defenders before selflessly passing to Facundo Buonanotte. The young striker tucked away the opportunity, giving Leicester a 1-0 advantage.

However, Brentford quickly responded, leveling the score just four minutes later. Mikkel Damsgaard's incisive pass split the Leicester defense, allowing Kevin Schade to set up Yoane Wissa for a tap-in, making it 1-1.

By the 29th minute, Brentford had completed their comeback. Lewis-Potter's swift attack resulted in a low cross from Bryan Mbeumo, which Schade converted at the near post, putting Brentford ahead 2-1.

Caleb Okoli, who was making his presence felt in defense, unfortunately suffered an ankle injury and had to be substituted before halftime, which compounded Leicester's struggles.

In the 35th minute, Jannik Vestergaard replaced him on the field.

As the first half drew to a close, Brentford continued to dominate. In the dying moments of the half, Schade struck again, chipping the ball over the goalkeeper to secure his second goal and extend Brentford's lead to 3-1.

The second half saw no reprieve for Leicester, as Schade completed his hat trick in the 59th minute.

And in doing so, the former Super Eagles-eligible player became the fourth German to score a hat-trick in the Premier League, following in the footsteps of Jürgen Klinsmann (1998), Fredi Bobic (2002), and André Schürrle (2014)

A brilliant assist from Collins allowed Schade to slot his finish past the helpless goalkeeper, bringing the score to 4-1.

Ndidi's performance at the base of Leicester's midfield was below par, marked by 13 lost possessions and only one successful tackle throughout the game.

The Nigerian international will need to step up his game as Leicester seeks to regain form under their new management.

Despite the setback, Ndidi has shown promise this season, contributing four assists in 13 Premier League appearances.

However, the team's need for improvement is evident as they aim to bounce back in upcoming fixtures.
