West Ham United learn asking price for 19-goal striker eligible for Super Eagles
Published: April 18, 2024Bournemouth have reportedly set their asking price for Super Eagles-eligible striker Dominic Solanke, who continues to be linked with a transfer to West Ham United.
According to Football Insider, the Cherries are eager to retain Solanke's services but will consider substantial offers should he decide to depart the Vitality Stadium in the off-season.
It has been speculated that a bid in the region of 50 million pounds could be enough to acquire him in the summer transfer window.
With three years left on Solanke's contract, it puts Bournemouth in a strong position when it comes to a potential sale of the number 9.
Other Premier League clubs including Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are monitoring the situation of the Chelsea academy product.
Solanke is having a breakout season at Bournemouth, scoring nineteen goals and registering four assists in 36 all-competition appearances.
The one-cap England international was on the scoresheet during the Cherries 2-2 draw with Manchester United last weekend, taking his tally to seventeen goals to become the club’s highest goalscorer in a single season in the Premier League.
West Ham wanted to sign the Anglo-Nigerian last summer but a deal did not materialize.
Solanke is pushing to gatecrash England's squad for the 2024 European Championship and would be cap-tied to his country of birth if he participates in the tournament.
