Olympic ticket on the line: Toni Payne reveals why the Super Falcons are brimming with confidence pre-RSA 

Sevilla midfielder Toni Payne has revealed that the Super Falcons are brimming with confidence ahead of their winner-takes-all Paris 2024 Olympic qualifier against South Africa's Banyana Banyana In Pretoria on Tuesday evening.

African giants Nigeria and South Africa face off at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in a battle that will determines one of Africa's representatives in this summer's Olympic Games. 

Payne has underlined that the Super Falcons fancy their chances of qualifying for the Olympics as the 1-0 win in the first leg five days ago puts them in an advantageous position.

A penalty scored by captain Rasheedat Ajibade in the 43rd minute secured a victory for the nine-time African champions in the first leg.

Speaking to the Super Falcons Media Team after Monday's workout, Payne said: "We are feeling really prepared and the travel was quite nice for us. We had the whole day to rest so the team is feeling really good.

"Obviously coming off with a win from the last game we have a lot of confidence so I think we'll improve our play in tomorrow's game."

For all the talk about home advantage heading into today's showdown, Banyana Banyana have never beaten the Super Falcons in their own backyard.

Payne expressed her goal of competing in the Olympic Games and firmly believes that the Super Falcons are capable of getting the job done. 

"It's definitely something to keep in mind. Obviously when you are away, when you have the crowd against you, t's something difficult. We are ready to turnaround the trend. 

"It has been a dream of mine to go to the Olympics so I'm hoping that we can get the ticket."
