2013 AFCON winner Victor Moses not currently negotiating new deal with Spartak
Published: February 04, 2024The future of 2013 Africa Cup of Nations-winning winger Victor Moses at Russian Premier League club Spartak Moscow remains up in the air.
The retired Nigeria international has entered the last four months of his contract with the Muscovites and could be departing the club at the end of the current season as a free agent as things stand.
According to ROOF agency, which handles the affairs of Moses, the Nigerian is currently not negotiating a contract extension with Spartak Moscow.
"Victor is very happy at the club, but so far there have been no conversations about extending the contract," Moses's agency said to Match TV.
Moses initially joined Spartak Moscow on loan in October 2020 before the deal was made permanent the following season.
The 33-year-old has not started the last seven games played by Spartak Moscow amid speculation linking him with a departure from the Red and Whites in June.
Overall, the versatile midfielder has played in 78 games across all competitions since landing in the Russian capital and has twenty goal involvements (10 goals, 10 assists) to his name.
A Premier League winner with Chelsea in 2017, Moses enjoyed loan spells at Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan during his time at Stamford Bridge.
