Super Eagles' Monday session: Osimhen, Yusuf given a breather; Moffi, Iheanacho, Onuachu train fully

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands Victor Osimhen missed the recovery session of the Super Eagles on Monday afternoon as they began preparation for the game against Ivory Coast in their second matchday of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite being on the scoresheet against Equatorial Guinea, the 25-year-old wasn't at his clinical best in the encounter and Nigeria will need him to be fully fit and ready ahead of the next game.
The players who started the encounter against the Central African side on Sunday afternoon, besides Osimhen and Alhassan Yusuf, were involved in a jogging exercise but didn't train with the non-starters and players who didn't feature.
Yusuf had to be taken off due to injury against the Nzalang Nacional which has cast uncertainty about his fitness for the upcoming match against the Elephants.
The Royal Antwerp midfielder was seen with other members of the team but neither did he train nor was involved in the recovery exercise.
OGC Nice striker Terem Moffi who just arrived in the camp today trained fully with the players that didn't take part in yesterday's encounter.
The 24-year-old replaced Umar Sadiq and is set to participate in his first-ever Africa Cup of Nations.
In the same vein, Kelechi Iheanacho and Paul Onuachu trained for the first time with their teammates following their arrival in Abidjan in the hours leading up to the Super Eagles opener versus Equatorial Guinea.
José Peseiro will be hoping to have no injury concerns heading into the game against the host country on Thursday.
