Iheanacho hopes to join Super Eagles before start of AFCON; 17 players including 4 PL stars in UAE camp

Leicester City star Kelechi Iheanacho has not ruled out his participation in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Super Eagles striker has been rated as doubtful for the tournament in Ivory Coast due to an undisclosed injury he is nursing at the moment.
The latest update from the Nigeria Football Federation is that Iheanacho is 'hopeful to join the team before the Africa Cup of Nations commences'.
Iheanacho's teammate at Leicester City, Wilfred Ndidi has already withdrawn from the squad, citing injury.
Royal Antwerp midfielder Alhassan Yusuf - earlier named on the provisional roster - has been promoted to the main Super Eagles squad as a replacement for the Leicester City number 25.
The Super Eagles, under the guidance of manager Jose Peseiro, are holding a one-week training camp in Abu Dhabi, capital city of the United Arab Emirates.
And ahead of the first training session this evening. seventeen players are currently in camp including four Premier League players.
Fulham duo Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, Brentford's Frank Onyeka and Nottingham Forest's Ola Aina are expected to train with the team in Abu Dhabi having reported for international duty.
The thirteen other players in camp are: Ahmed Musa, Kenneth Omeruo, Moses Simon, Olorunleke Ojo, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Joe Aribo, Bruno Onyemaechi, Chidozie Awaziem, Zaidu Sanusi, Victor Boniface, Raphael Onyedika and Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Still being expected are Francis Uzoho, Stanley Nwabili, William Troost-Ekong, Alhassan Yusuf, Iheanacho, Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze and Sadiq Umar.
