Video: Watch Nathan Tella and Amas Obasogie welcomed into the Super Eagles fold
Published: November 14, 2023
Nathan Tella and Amos Obasogie received a warm welcome into the Super Eagles fold earlier today upon being handed their maiden call-up.
The duo were handed the customary welcome ritual given to newly invited players which is done to enhance team bonding.
This is done by the older players forming two lines and new invitees will be expected to pass in between them receiving some pats on the back in the process.
Tella has been in superb form in the last 12 months having played a vital role in helping Burnley regain promotion to the Premier League which earned him a move to Bayer Leverkusen.
While he is yet to break into the Bundesliga table-toppers starting XI, he has shown glimpses of his quality and got his first league goal last weekend.
Obasogie on the other hand was called up as a replacement for Maduka Okoye who pulled out of the squad for unknown reasons.
The Bendel Insurance shot-stopper has been in stellar form in the Nigeria Premier Football League, conceding one goal in seven games.
