Nigeria have qualified for the next stage of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers after thrashing Ethiopia 4-0 on Tuesday evening.
Allnigeriasoccer.com runs the rule over Super Falcons players on parade at the National Stadium in Abuja.
The starters
Goalkeeper
Chiamaka Nnadozie: Thwarted the only meaningful attempt from the away side which was from a free kick. It was a free day in the office for the ever-impressive goalkeeper. 7/10
Defenders
Michelle Alozie: Lost some of her duels, particularly in the first half but burst forward as always and could have gotten a goal late in the game 6.5/10
Oluwatosin Demehin: Had nothing much to do defensively, was calm in possession and showed great vision to find Kanu for the first goal. She had to come off due to an injury. 7.5/10
Akudo Ogonna: Looked more composed on the ball than in the first leg and barely lost a tackle. 7/10
Rofiat Imuran: Was rewarded for her nice cameo in the first leg and was good yet again. She combined very well with Kanu down the left side of the attack. 6.5/10
Midfielders
Peace Efih: She was Nigeria's best midfielder. Linked up well with the defence, showed good passing accuracy and hardly lost a duel.8.5/10
Toni Payne: She was quiet for most of the game and the least impressive of the midfielders. 5/10
Rasheedat Ajibade: Just like the first leg,the Super Falcons captain didn't start the game brightly but eventually imposed herself in the game and got two goals to her name. 9/10
Forwards
Asisat Oshoala: Started poorly but burst into life in the second half. Dropped deep to be more involved in the game got herself an assist and bagged the third goal of the encounter 9.5/10
Uchenna Kanu: She was Nigeria's most dangerous outlet for most of the game and deservedly got a goal and an assist. 8/10
Ifeoma Onumonu: She was the least impressive of the three forwards and was lucky not to have been withdrawn early. 5/10
The substitutes
Nicole Payne: Didn't do too much when she came on. 5/10
Folorunsho Comfort: Came off th ebench for the injured Demehin and she didn't look flustered.6/10
Rinsola Babajide: Didn't have the chance to build on her impressive debut in the first leg as she came in late into the game. NA
Esther Onyenezide: Though a late substitute, she showed glimpses of her quality with her flair which was too much to handle for the tiring Ethiopians. NA
