Ajayi, Osayi-Samuel, Moffi, Torunarigha, Bassey, 15 others report for international duty pre-Saudi Arabia
Published: October 11, 2023
Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi, Napoli star, Victor Osimhen, red-hot Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface and AC Milan right winger Samuel Chukwueze are among the 20 players who have arrived at the Super Eagles camp ahead of the back-to-back friendly games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.
Gent defender Jordan Torunarigha, West Brom's Semi Ajayi, OGC Nice striker Terem Moffi, Fulham centre-back Calvin Bassey and Fenerbahce star Bright-Osayi-Samuel have also showed up in camp.
Also in camp are the trio of Chidozie Awaziem, Umar Sadiq and Tyronne Ebuehi who received late invitations due to the injuries to Taiwo Awoniyi, Ola Aina and Jamilu Collins respectively.
Completing the players in camp are: Francis Uzoho, Kenneth Omeruo, Bruno Onyemaechi, Wilfred Ndidi, Raphael Onyedika, Joe Aribo, Moses Simon and Ademola Lookman,
Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka, Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheancho and the newly invited Fisayo Dele-Bashiru are expected to arrive later today while the time of arrival of Olorunleke Ojo and Adebayo Adeleye is yet to be unknown.
The Super Eagles will take on Saudi Arabia on Friday at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão before facing Mozambique at the Estádio Municipal de Albufeira on Monday.
Since coach José Peseiro took charge of the three-time African champions, they are yet to win a friendly game and they would be willing to change that against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.
