Eight things to note on Super Eagles 23-man roster for AFCONQ v Sierra Leone

The Nigeria Football Federation have announced the Super Eagles squad list for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Sierra Leone on Sunday, June 18.
Three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and seven attackers have been summoned by manager Jose Peseiro.

1) The roster holds an average age of 25.65 years as at Friday, June 9. Ahmed Musa is the oldest player at 30 and the youngest is ex-Golden Eaglets star Divine Nwachukwu at 20.
2) The roster is made up of thirteen players who were part of the Super Eagles side at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. They are Ndidi, Troost-Ekong, Ajayi, Musa, Onyeka, Aribo, Sanusi, Iheanacho, Simon, Chukwueze, Iwobi, Awoniyi and Omeruo.
3) The players invited represent clubs in ten different countries: England (8), Nigeria (4), Spain (2), Italy (2), Turkey (2), Netherlands (1), France (1), Germany (1), Israel (1) and Portugal (1).
4) Six players were born abroad: Troost-Ekong, Bassey, Akpoguma, Ajayi, Aribo and Lookman.
5) Five players are seeking their first international cap against Sierra Leone: Nwachukwu, Adeleye, Sochima, Ojo and Duru,
6) Four players have appeared in each of Nigeria's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. They are Osimhen, Iwobi, Ajayi and Moses Simon.
7) Should he play against Sierra Leone, Bendel Insurance sensation Divine Nwachukwu would become only the second Golden Eaglets player in the class of 2019 to feature for the Super Eagles, following in the footsteps of Red Bull Salzburg's Samson Tijani.
8) Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi has played every single minute of the national team's matches since the appointment of Jose Peseiro as coach, comprising four in AFCON qualifying and four friendly matches.
