Flying Eagles central defender Ogwuche changes agents ahead of potential transfer
Published: June 02, 2023
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Flying Eagles central defender Abel Ogwuche has changed agents ahead of a possible move in the summer transfer window.
Currently on the books of Swedish second tier side Trelleborg, Ogwuche has caught the eye with brilliant displays at the ongoing Fifa U20 World Cup in Argentina, helping goalkeeper Kingsley Aniagboso keep clean sheets in matches against Italy and Argentina.
The 19-year-old was previously represented by Desmond Tra of SPOCS sports consultants but the defender terminated the agency contract by mutual consent last year.
Ogwuche is now looked after by Players Management Group, an agency with close links to German Bundesliga, English Premier League, Belgian, Norwegian and Chinese clubs.
Players Management Group is owned by Oslo-based agent Atta Aneke, who also handles the affairs of Chidera Ejuke, Odion Ighalo, Gift Orban and in-demand Lillestrom striker Akor Adams.
Also on the stable of Players Management Group are Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana, Ohi Omoijuanfo, Igoh Ogbu, Aaron Samuel and Ishaq Abdulrazak.
Ogwuche was a bit-part player for the Flying Eagles in the group matches of the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations but has not looked back since forcing his way into the starting lineup, having gone the distance in each of the last seven competitive matches played by Ladan Bosso's team.
A product of famous grassroots club Tripple 44 FC, Ogwuche completed a transfer to Trelleborg in the winter transfer market.
