Super Eagles right-back drawing interest from Brentford ahead of summer window
Published: March 30, 2023Super Eagles and Fenerbahçe right-back, Bright Osayi-Samuel has been linked with a move to Premier League club Brentford.
This is according to 90min Türkiye who has reported that the English club would like to bring the right back to the Premier League.
The Nigerian has featured 30 times in all competitions this season for Fenerbahçe, eighteen of which he started.
Despite not being at his brilliant best for Fenerbahçe the Super Eagles right-back proved his credentials in Nigeria's double-headed tie against Guinea-Bissau in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Brentford, who sit 8th in the Premier League table at the moment and have a chance to finish in one of the continental places, are preparing a move for the Nigerian to bolster their ranks ahead of next season.
Osayi-Samuel is no stranger to English football. He started his professional career with Blackpool, where he played 79 games scoring 5 goals and registering 6 assists.
In 2017, he moved from Blackpool to Queens Park Rangers for whom he made 115 appearances, registering 13 goals and 13 assists.
Osayi-Samuel's contract at Fenerbahce runs out in June 2025.
