Published: February 14, 2023
The Flying Eagles will no longer be facing Central African Republic in a pre-Africa Cup of Nations friendly on Wednesday.
The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed on Tuesday evening that the planned friendly with The Wild Beasts has been called off.
To wrap up the training camp in Morocco, another friendly has been arranged for the Nigeria U20s team on Wednesday, with Kawkab Athletics Club U23 of Marrakesh their opponent.
The game is scheduled to take place on Wednesday by 1700 hours local time (1700 hours Nigerian time) at the Complexe Sportif, Sidi Mohammed, Ain Sebaa, Casablanca.
Tomorrow's friendly is the last preparatory game before the Flying Eagles' opening match of the 2023 AFCON against Senegal on Sunday at the Cairo International Stadium.
The Flying Eagles are expected to leave Casablanca for Cairo on Thursday morning at 0900 hours.
Seven-time African champions, Nigeria defeated Zambia 4-2 in their first friendly against African opposition, before a 2-1 wn over Republic of Congo last weekend.
Hosts Egypt and Mozambique are Nigeria's other opponents in Group A of the 2023 AFCON.
