Wait is over : Arsenal and Crystal Palace strikers report for Flying Eagles duty ahead of AFCON
Published: January 23, 2023There is good news regarding the invitation of two exciting teenagers to the Flying Eagles squad ahead of the upcoming 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that flamboyant Arsenal forward Joel Ideho and Crystal Palace starlet Ademola Ola-Adebomi have both reported for international duty in the nation's capital Abuja.
It is understood that the two attack-minded players will train for the first time with the players in camp on Monday evening.
Ideho's arrival in the Nigeria U20s camp has put to rest speculation surrounding his international future as earlier reports in the local media sensationally claimed that his minders were not keen on him playing for Nigeria.
The Tilburg-born player took part in Arsenal's final training session before their Premier League meeting with Manchester United.
Known for scoring spectacular goals, Ideho has played non-binding games for Netherlands at youth level, meaning he does not have to submit a request for a change of association before suiting up for the Flying Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Ola-Adebomi is a big, powerful, fast and left-footed striker with good passing skills and can hit the ball from distance.
He joined Crystal Palace eleven years ago, rising through the ranks before signing his first professional contract in April 2022.
