'A very attractive league' - Arsenal Invincible quizzed on reports linking Osimhen to EPL
Published: December 12, 2022Captain of the Arsenal Invincibles, Patrick Vieira, who now coaches Crystal Palace, has highlighted that Victor Osimhen is one of the best players in the Napoli squad, and reckons that a move to the English Premier League would be good for him.
The Nigeria international continues to be linked with a transfer to the English top flight, with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea credited with an interest.
Vieira saw firsthand the qualities of Osimhen on Sunday as Crystal Palace were beaten 3-1 by Napoli in a friendly in Turkey.
After the Eagles took the lead, the Italian Serie A table toppers equalized through the Nigerian, who volleyed into the bottom corner after flicking the ball over Will Hughes head.
Asked to comment on reports linking Osimhen with a move to the Premier League, Vieira told reporters : "Osimhen is an important player who gives depth.
"Osimhen in the Premier League? It is a very attractive league for players because there's a lot of competition."
Asides from Napoli, Osimhen has played for two other big five European League clubs in Wolfsburg and Lille, and has also represented Sporting Charleroi in Belgium.
The 23-year-old has mustered 38 goals in 76 appearances for Napoli.
