Faustino Anjorin will not make his competitive comeback from injury when Huddersfield Town face off with Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.

Huddersfield Town head coach Mark Fotheringham has omitted the England youth international of Nigerian descent from the matchday squad against the Blades at Bramall Lane.

Revealing the confirmed team news, Huddersfield Town announced that Anjorin hurt his ankle in the last training session on Friday and isn't involved today.

The Chelsea loanee has not made a competitive appearance for the Terriers since September 17, 2022 when he lasted 45 minutes on the pitch against Cardiff City.

Having recovered from a bout of Glandular fever, Anjorin was included in Huddersfield Town's training camp squad this month and featured in a friendly against Olympiakos.

The 21-year-old has now missed twelve consecutive games played by the Terriers in the Championship and has yet to play a competitive match under Mark Fotheringham.

Meanwhile, former Nigeria youth team invitee David Kasumu is in the starting lineup to face Sheffield United.
