The Super Eagles team comprised mainly of home-based players have had their last training session ahead of the international friendly match against Costa Rica Wednesday night (early morning Thursday).
This was disclosed in a post on the official Super Eagles Twitter handle on Wednesday morning in Nigeria.
The team made up of 18 players have been training at the Centro De Alto Rendimiento Training Centre, San Jose and are now poised to face the CONCACAF team in Nigeria’s penultimate game before the end of the 2022 calendar year.
The game will be played at the National Stadium, San Jose with kick off slated for 3am Nigerian time.
Nigeria will also face Portugal next week Thursday, three days before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar begins.
The Costa Ricans will campaign at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and are in same group with Germany, Japan and Spain.
The Super Eagles played out a 2-2 draw with a CONCACAF nation Jamaica ahead of the 1998 World Cup.
