Two former Nigeria national teams invitees nominated for Crystal Palace GOTM
Published: November 02, 2022
Premier League side Crystal Palace have revealed their shortlist for the club's Goal of the Month award for October 2022, with two former Nigeria national teams invitees making the cut.
Palace's Goal of the Month is open to goals scored by the men’s, women’s and Academy sides over October.
2017 Super Eagles invitee Eberechi Eze got on the scoresheet twice in October in Premier League games against Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers and it's his effort against the former that made the shortlist.
Fourteen minutes from time, the ex-England U21 international ran across the edge of the area and fired into the bottom corner for what proved to be the match-winning goal.
2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Malcolm Ebiowei has been nominated for his brilliant goal against Arsenal in the most recent Premier League 2 match played by the Eagles development squad.
The former Arsenal schoolboy opened the scoring on the half hour mark with a left-footed finish from close range.
Goals from Wilfried Zaha, Fionn Mooney, Anna Filbey and Hindolo Mustapha have also been nominated.
