2021 Super Eagles invitee receives valuable advice from Arsene Wenger
Published: October 29, 2022Legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has advised 2021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise to be more prolific in front of goal.
Wenger revealed this in a meeting with Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira and Olise, advising the winger the same way he did to Arsenal legend Henry.
Olise joined Crystal Palace in the summer of 2021 from Reading after netting seven goals while assisting twelve others in the EFL Championship in his final season at the Royals.
In the more demanding Premier League, the Anglo-French-Nigerian youngster has managed just four goals in 42 all-competition appearances for Crystal Palace.
Olise has caught the eye with a string of impressive performances in the English top-flight but goals have been few and far between for the former Chelsea schoolboy,
In the ongoing season, he has not registered his name on the scoresheet but has provided two assists in 10 games.
FIFA's Chief of Global Football Development, Wenger in a video posted by a Twitter user was heard saying to Olise, "need to score more goals".
Wenger is known to be a good talent spotter and developer, with players like Thierry Henry, Nicolas Anelka, Cecs Fabregas and many more getting groomed by the Frenchman.
