Leicester City boss delivers update on Ndidi that will delight Peseiro, Super Eagles fans

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has shared a fitness update on Wilfred Ndidi that will delight Nigeria boss Jose Peseiro and Super Eagles fans.
The Nigeria international has been pictured training with Leicester City ahead of their Premier League meeting with Manchester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, October 29.
He has missed the last four top-flight games after suffering a relapse of a hamstring injury during the first half of the Foxes 4-0 rout of Nottingham Forest on October 3.
Rodgers gave an encouraging update on Ndidi, saying he has resumed full training with the squad, which will be sweet music to the ears of Peseiro ahead of his squad announcement for the national team's friendlies in November.
In quotes relayed by Leicester City's official website, Rodgers said : "Wilfred Ndidi has been back training with the squad. The most important thing is he’s back training in the squad and he’s looked fine with the players.
"Availability is the important thing and thankfully he’s available. Marc Albrighton was obviously back last weekend. We’re all fine."
Ndidi has not featured for the Nigeria national team since going the distance against Tunisia at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in January. missing seven consecutive matches.
Nigeria will take on Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in a glamour friendly scheduled to hold at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon on November 17.
