Published: October 20, 2022
Allnigeriasoccer.com's review of the Nigeria-eligible players that found the net for their respective European clubs in league and cup matches on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
We start in Italy. Former Nigeria youth international David Okereke was on target for U.S Cremonese in their 4-2 win over Modena in the Coppa Italia second round.
Okereke was brought on in the 58th minute and went on to open the scoring in the 77th minute of the encounter.
The 25-year-old has contributed to five goals (4 goals, 1 assist) since joining the Cremona based outfit from Club Brugge in July 2022.
Moving to the DBU Pokalen, Stephen Odey scored a brace to guide Randers FC to a 2-0 win over Vendsyssel FF in the third round of the competition.
The former MFM of Lagos star opened scoring in the 27th minute after combining with Tobias Breuner. Odey went on to score his second of the game in the 42nd minute.
Odey's brace puts an end to his goal drought, with him failing to score in his first thirteen games of the 2022-2023 season.
The 24-year-old will be looking forward to score his first league goal of the season when Randers take on FC Nordsjælland at the weekend.
