Published: October 19, 2022England U17 international of Nigerian descent Ethan Nwaneri was promoted to first team training ahead of Arsenal's Europa League Group A clash against PSV Eindhoven at Emirates Stadium tomorrow evening.
Less than 24 hours after the attacking midfielder helped the Gunners beat the first team of Northampton Town in the Papa Johns Trophy, the 15-year-old Nwaneri was invited to train with the first team stars.
Arsenal's official website has published the training images of Wednesday afternoon's training session at London Colney and Nwaneri was pictured sweating it out with the first team players.
Ben White, Fábio Vieira, William Saliba, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Reiss Nelson, Martin Ødegaard, Granit Xhaka, Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah and Albert Sambi Lokonga were pictured in training.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is sweating on the fitness of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Martinelli.
Aged 15 years and 181 days, the Anglo-Nigerian became the youngest player ever to appear in a top-flight match in English football when he made his senior debut off the bench against Brentford on September 18, 2022.
The Gunners will book their place in the knockout rounds of the Europa League with two games to spare if they beat PSV Eindhoven.
