EPL wrap : Iwobi, Dennis, Awoniyi suffer defeats; Solanke scores and assists; Iheanacho, Olise subbed in

The Premier League matchday 11 kicked off  on Saturday October 15 with seven Nigeria-eligible players in action for their various clubs.

In the early kick-off, Leicester City and Crystal Palace shared the spoils with a goalless draw at the King Power Stadium. 

Kelechi Iheanacho was an 85th minute substitute, Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Eberechi Eze played the entire duration of the game and France U21 international Michael Olise subbed in at minute 65.

Iheanacho could have won the game for the Foxes but his shot from the edge of the box was saved by Vicente Guaita.

At Craven Cottage, Dominic Solanke shone for AFC Bournemouth in their 2-2 draw with Fulham, for whom Tosin Adarabioyo was an unused substitute.

The Chelsea academy product combined with Danish midfielder Phillip Billing to give the Cherries an early lead in the second minute but Issa Diop leveled matters for the hosts twenty minutes later.

In the 29th minute, Solanke went on to assist Jefferson Lerma in putting the visitors back in front.

Seven minutes into the second half, Aleksandar Mitrovic restored parity and it ended with honours even. 

Moving to the Molineux Stadium, Emmanuel Dennis and Taiwo Awoniyi were unable to rescue Nottingham Forest from a 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Emmanuel Dennis who got his second consecutive start lasted for 70 minutes while Awoniyi came on in the 84th minute.

Reben Neves' 56th minute strike was enough to extend Forest's winless run to seven.

The last game of the day happened in North London. Alex Iwobi was on parade for Everton in their 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs dominated the entire game, with goals from Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Højberg sealing the win for Antonio Conte's men.
